Arrived at Nelson

We have arrived... The road from Calgary to Fernie was dry and clear... as you got closer to Nelson it was snowing pretty good... a winter wonderland. We just checked in at the Mountain Hound Inn located right downtown... Pretty basic accommodations. We walked around downtown a bit, had some tapas at the Outer Clove, bought some organic beer and headed back to our room to watch some snowboarding movies... Snowboarding at Whitewater tomorrow... Should be epic!!!!

The Cinnamon Bear Bakery is a must stop if you are traveling threw the Crowsnest Pass...

Snow and Hotsprings tour

We are about to depart on the ultimate snowboarding adventure… leaving first thing Friday morning from Calgary to Nelson where we will spend three nights and three days snowboarding at Whitewater!!! This will be our first visit to Whitewater mountain and with the new Glory Ridge Chair that just opened and a +200 cm snow base… it should be an epic adventure.

From Nelson we will drive north to the Ainsworth Hotsprings where we will spend one night relaxing and chillax'n at the hotsprings.

From there we will drive to New Denver. Once we get to New Denver we have booked ourselves a dome for two nights and plan to x-country ski to our property along Carpenter Creek… it's about a 4 km one way ski from Sandon to our property.

From New Denver we will drive north to Halcyon Hotsprings were we plan to spend the afternoon relaxing before we drive a little further north and finish our ultimate snowboarding adventure with three nights and two days snowboarding at Revelstoke Mountain… that's the itinerary… let the adventure begin… check back in a couple of days as we plan to update along the way…

(sorry Pika and Maya... we will make it up to you when we return...)
